	INSCRIPTIONS IN THE CHURCH.
	CHANCEL On Brass Plates on Flat Stones
Here resteth the Body of Anne Wife of Nathaniel ILES Clothier, of this Parish, and Daughter of George TOWNSEND of Rowell Gent who departed this Life,the 15 day of Novem. A. D. 1702.	Also of the above Nathaniel ILES, who died Feb. 22, 1740, Aged 75. And of Anne, his 2nd. Wife, Daughter of Edw. PlERCE, of the Devises, Gent. who died July 1, 1747, Aged 65. Likewise of Jane, their Daughter who died March 7,1710, Aged 32.	In Memory of Elizabeth, the Daughter of Nathaniel ILES, Clothier of this Parish, who departed this Life, 28 day of Decr. AD 1708. In Memory also of John the Son of Nathaniel ILES, Clothier, of this Parish, who departed this Life, the 18 day of May, Ano Dom 1710.

Beneath this Stone are interred the Remains of Sarah, daughter of Nathaniel ILES, She died Decr. 5, I 1784 Aged 74 Year's. Also Ann, his Daughter, She died June 12, 1791, Aged 89 Also Catherine NORTON, She died April 30, 1788, Aged 75. N.B.these three Plates on one Stone.	Arms; Argent, three Bars, Azure, m Chief three Annulets Gules~COOKE In Memory of Richard COOKE. of Lodgmore, in the Parish of Stroud Wh who departed this Life, Sep. 4, 1769, Aged 57 Years. Also of Richard his Son, and Ann, his Wife, She died May 24, 1772, Aged 29. He Nov. 12, 1774, Aged 36. Also THOMAS their Son, who died in Augt. 1774 Aged 1 Year, & 2 Months.	On an Atchment, Argent, three Bars Azure, in Chief three Annulets Gules. COOKE impaling Per cross Argent and Azure, on a Bend compony Azure, & Gules, three Cinque.foils Or—KING. Crest—A Griffin's head erased Or. in his Beak an Annulet, Gules.

In Memory of Henry COOKE of Farmhill in the Parish of Stroud who departed this Life, the 30 day of April 1192, Aged 58 Years. Also of Sarah his Wife, daughter of Richard KING of Alkerton, in the Parish of Eastington, in this County, Gent. who departed this Life, the 14 day of June 1783, Aged 48 Years.	Arms Argent, on a Chevron, between three Griffins heads erased, Sable, a Leopard's face Or.—WHITE. Impaling Azure, on a Saltire Or, an Anchor, Sable.—LITTLE Sacred to the Memory of ANN, Wife of Thomas WHITE of Stonehouse, Esqr. and Daughter of Mr. John LITTLE, of Paganhill, in the Pariah of Stroud She had the Happiness of being brought up from a Child in the paths of Religion, and Virtue, by Parents of the most exemplary Piety. To her family she was an invaluable friend, to the distressed a liberal benefactor, and to all an Example of Patience, Humility, and true Religion. She bore a long, and severe Affliction with Christian fortitude, and resignation. Thus prepared for a glorious immortality She calmely resigned her Soul into the hands of her merciful Redeemer on Sunday the 11 of January 1784, Aged 58.

Here resteth the Body of John MITCHELL, Gent. sonn of James MITCHELL, of Hascomb Gent. who departed this Life, the 21 of Feb. Ano. Dom. 1681. Samuel, Son of James MITCHELL, of this Parish, Gent, who was buried Jany. 10, A. D. 1738, in the 3rd. year of his Age.	Here resteth in hopes of a joyful Resurrection James, & Samuel, two Sons of James MITCHELL, of this Parish, Gent, by Abigail, his Wife, who departed this Life, as follows, viz. James, in the Year 1739, Aged near 7 Years. Samuel April 2, 1781, Aged 28 Years.

Betty HOGG, died March 31, 1780 Aged 66. Thomas, died July 28, 1768; Aged 46. Mary, died Nov. 4, 1760, Aged 38. Sarah, died Jany. 2. 1767, Aged 25. John, died Jul. 30, 1788, Aged 433. Hannah PEGLER, died Oct. 8; 1794, Aged 64. Esther ALDRIDGE died Nov. 19,1764, Aged 34. Charles, died Sept. 7, 1774, Aged 42. William, died Dec. 30, 1773, Aged 40. Samuel, died Jan. 16, 1738, Aged 3.	In Memory of Grace, Wife of John LITTLE, who died Feb. the 2nd. 1764, Aged 66. In Memory of John LITTLE, who died Dec. 21, 1773, Aged 79. And also of Thomas, their Son, who died Jany. 19, 1778, Aged 49 Years. Mary LITTLE, daughter of John, and Grace LITTLE, died Sept. 18 1798, Aged 73 Years.	In Memory of Thomas LITTLE, who died the 15 of Oct. 1726, Aged 56 Years. Also of Margaret, his Wife, who died the 24 day of April 1743, Aged 76 Years. Elizabeth, their daughter died September 27, 176], Aged 68. Thus must the Flesh to silent Dust descend, Thy mirth and worldly pleasure then will end, Then happy Souls: but woe to those, Who Heav'n forgot, and earthly pleasures chose, Hear now this Preaching Grave without delay, Beleive, repent, and work while it is day.
Sarah COOKE, Wife of Henry COOKE, Clothier, and Daughter of Lawrence DUTTON, Gent. Died Jany. ye. 1, 1726, Aged 46 Years. Henry their Son, died Feb. 12, 1726, Aged 18 Years. Samuel, their Son, died August the 5, 1725, Aged 4 Years. Henry COOKE, died the 16 of Jany. 1755, Aged 76 Years.	In Memory of Thomas RIDLEY and Phebe his Wife. He died July 31, 1779, Aged 38 Years. She died April 4, 1787, Aged 39 Years. And also four of their Children, MARY, died Deer. 15 (no Year.) Aged 7 Years. John .. Rebecca . Sarah ..

Beneath Resteth the Body of Richard PEGLER who departed this Life, Jany 23, 1755, Aged 70 Years. Also Sarah his Wife, who died April 7, 1764, Aged 79 Years. Likewise James, their Son, who departed this Life, the 30 day of August 1749, Aged 31. Also Jane their daughter, who died March the 11, 1785, Aged 65.	In Memory of Richard HAWKER, Blue Died, he died March 18, A. D. 1719, Aged 59 Years. Also Hester, his daughter, was buried July 9, Anno Dom. 1717, Aged 4. And also Mary, Wife of Richard HAWKER died March 8, 1760, in the 90 Year of her Age.	In Memory of William and Sarah BEARD, Also of nine of their Children, viz. William .. . Here rest the Body of Wilkins CHANDLER, of Stonehouse, Clothier who departed this Life, Nov. 4, 1782, Aged 64 Years. Mary, Wife of Wilkins CHANDLER, departed this life May 17, 1797, Aged 64.	In Memory of Mary Wife of William LAWRENCE, who died July 10, 1768, Aged 50. In Memory of Joseph son of Wilkins CHANDLER who died 3 day of March, A. D. 1779, in the 32 Year of his Age.	In Memory of William LAWRENCE and of .his Wife, he was parish Clerk 23 Years, and died Oct 18, 1691. Daniel LAWRENCE, Carpenter, died Feb. 14, 1769, Aged 70 Years.
Here resteth the Body of William ARUNDELL, late of Stonehouse, Clothier, who departed this Life, the 20 day of Aprell, Anno Dom. 1681 lived Beloved 30 Years, & 24 days. Butt when death cums there can be nd delay, And wayteth under neath this Steno For a gloriouse Resurrection In Memory of Samuel CLISSOLD Blue Dier, Who died July ye. 29, Anno Dom. 1709 Aged 48. Also Hannah, his Wife died Jany. ye; 23, 1710, Aged 56.	Heare sleepeth the Body of Radolph MEISEY, Preacher, a Gentelman by Birth, a painful Labourer in the ministry 34 Years, and rested the 24 of December, Anno 1628. Here likewise lies the Body of Anna Jemima eldest daughter of William JAMES, Gent, of Lansawell, Carmarthenshire, Wife of ye. Revd. Mr. RICE Curate of ys. Parish. She died 7ber. ye. 6, 1762, Aged 36 Years.	To the Pious Memory of THOMAS CHANDLER, of this Parish, Clothier. He gave to our Preacher 59 pounds. and to our Poor, he gave 100 pounds. to be laid out in Cloth, and gaveaway on Thomas day, and died the 2 day of August, Anno Christi 1731, Aged 70.
To the Memory of William HOPSON who died March 26, Anno Dom. 1780 Aged 70 Years. To the pious Memory of Edith the Wife, of William HOPSON She died Octr. 21, Ano Dom. 1771,Aged 67 Years.	To the Memory of Joseph PARRY, of this Parish, Fine drawer, who departed this Life, the 24 day of April, Ano. Din. 1716, AEtat. suae 62. Also of Lydia, his Wife, She departed this Life, April Ano. Dom. 1737, AEtat. suae 84. John PARRY, Clothier, youngest Son of Joseph, and Lydia PARRY, who departed this Life the first day of Sept Ano. Din. 1719, AEtat. suae 28:	In Memory of Elizabeth, Wife of John HARMER of this Parish, Clothier; who died July 11. 1760, Aged 32 Years Also the said John HARMER who died June 26, 1800, in 87 Year of his Age: And also of Thomas their Son, who died at Hanham School Ap.19, 1770, in the 13 Year of his Age, Likewise two of their Children who died in their Infancy. In Memory of Jane Wife of Jonathan HARMER. of this Parish, Clothier. She died April 23, 1743, Aged 66 Years.

Also Cathenine, his daughter, and Wife of Henry EYCOTT Clothier, She died 12 day of March, 1 793, Aged 27, and lies interred at Stonehouse, Likewise of Susanna his daughter, who lies here interred, Aged 3 Years.	In Memory of Joseph CHANDLER, of the Parish of Stonehouse Butcher who departed this Life, the 19 day of August 1792, Aged 30 Years,
To the Memory of Phillip AMBROSE, Sadler who departed this Life, Decr. 14, 1791 in the 50 Year of his Age.	Sacred to the Memory of John and Mary HOPSON Son, and daughter of William & Edith HOPSON of this Parish, Mary departed this Life, the 30 day of Nov. 1 773, Aged 36 Years. John after a long, and painful Illness Ended this Transitory Life, Nov. 27, 1788, Aged 46 Years.	In Memory of Elizabeth Wife of John LEWIS of the Parish of Stroud who died Oct. 13, 1753, Aged 37 Years.
Here Rests the Body of Lydia Wife of Thomas NEWSUM, of this Parish, who departed this Life, the 6 day of May 1751, Aged 61.	Here lie the Remains of Thomas OCKLEY, of the Parish of Stroud, Cabinet Maker who died the 21 of April A. D. 1767 Aged 70 Years.	Here rest the Bodies of one Son, and two daughters of Francis and Elizabeth DIMOCK Thomas died Sept. 6, 1750, AEt. 23. Sarah, died ye. 29 1757, AEt. 28. & Elizabeth Nov. the 22, 1758, AEt. 23.
Here lie the Remains of Mary, Wife of William NIBLET, Junr. who died Oct. 31, 1758, Aged 33.	Sarah, Wife of Edward CHANDLER, Clerk. who died 10 of May 1750, in the 48 Year of her Age.
